Smart Print PLA filament for 3D printing was developed from high-quality plant-based raw materials such as corn and sugar cane to provide an eco-friendly solution without compromising precision and reliability. Compared with standard PLA, it offers smoother extrusion, lower shrinkage (1.5–2.5%) and a wide printing temperature range of 190–230 °C, ensuring easy and consistent printing even for beginners. Its improved formulation creates clean surfaces and fine details, making it ideal for decorative models, collectible figurines, prototypes and presentation components.

Product features

Good thermal stability: the processing temperature usually ranges from 170–230 °C (we recommend 210 °C and above), allowing use in various production scenarios.

Excellent solvent resistance: it can be processed using various methods such as extrusion, spinning, biaxial stretching or injection blow moulding.

Mechanical properties: the material has a certain degree of strength and toughness, and the resulting products meet various application requirements.

Additional properties: good gloss, transparency and a pleasant surface.

Printing recommendations

• Nozzle temperature: 180–230 °C (we recommend 210 °C and above)
• Build plate material: PEI, glass
• Build plate temperature: 40–60 °C

• Print speed: 30–70 mm/
• Raft distance: 0.2 mm
• Retraction: 7 mm
• Retraction speed: 20 mm/s

Specified for a 0.4 mm nozzle. Parameters may vary depending on the nozzle diameter.

Drying recommendations

For optimal print and surface quality, it is recommended to dry the filament before use, especially if it has been exposed to moisture. PLA is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture, which can lead to stringing, bubbles, poor layer adhesion or unstable extrusion.
Use a filament dryer or a convection oven with precise temperature control. Avoid open heat sources.
After drying, store the filament in a sealed container with silica gel.

Cooling settings

Use medium to high fan speeds to achieve sharp details.

HS-PLA filament series

Smart Print HS-PLA represents a new generation of high-speed PLA materials designed for modern, high-performance 3D printers. Thanks to optimisation of the melting point and manufacturing process, it enables higher printing speeds, better layer adhesion and a smoother surface.

Warning

Avoid high temperatures: PLA has low heat resistance and may deform above 60 °C.
Proper storage: keep the filament dry and airtight.
Adequate ventilation: print in a well-ventilated area.
Use the recommended printing parameters.
